Man collapses, dies while singing during daughter’s wedding celebrations

KOLLAM: A man collapsed and died while singing in a ganamela organised on the previous day of his daughter’s wedding. He has been identified as Vishnu Prasad, a native of Kollam and additional sub inspector of Karamana police station. His daughter’s wedding was fixed for today. Though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. He died of cardiac arrest.The marriage was decided to take place at a temple in Chavara but following the death, it was shifted to an auditorium. He was promoted as additional SI two months back. The body is kept in the mortuary. He was a good singer. The video of him singing during celebrations has gone viral in the social media.
