Kunjan is an actor who has acted with Jayan in a number of films. He, in a recent interview to Kaumudy TV, revealed that just before his death Jayan had kept a box safely in his house and went back; the hullaballoo created by it later was not small.

Kunjan opened up on his personal relationship with Jayan.

“I got introduced to Jayan only after I entered the cinema. He was always very affectionate to me. We together acted in a number of films. His demise was the biggest shock of my life. He left that day for the last time after keeping a box in my house. It became a big controversy later. His brother created noise, saying that there was eight to nine lakh rupees inside the box. During those days there was no chance for Jayan to get so much money. At that time there was an organisation called MALC. When that box was opened in front of the organisation, only his wig and other paraphernalia were found…”
