THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Facebook group called ‘Navodhana Keralam Sabarimalayilekku’, which had organised and provided technical/logistical support to the young women who wanted to go to Sabarimala, has come out with a revelation.
Their claim is that they campaigned and voted for the Congress as they wanted to prevent BJP’s surge at national level. They have been against the stand of the Congress though, in Sabarimala issue.
“In Thiruvananthapuram constituency itself, around 6000 voters who used to vote for the Left, were persuaded to vote for Shashi Tharoor. This was made possible by the election work of the members of the collective,” they explain on their Facebook page.

They further say that Sabarimala was not the reason for the massive defeat of the Left in Kerala. Any person linked to the collective were against the Hindutva agenda of the BJP.
Even people who voted for LDF by hereditary were made to for vote for Congress in order to make it the single largest party in the election
