THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sticking on to his stand in the Sabarimala issue, CM Pinarayi Vijayan said that the government will be forever committed to protecting the rights of women and renaissance values.
“If resisting communal powers is called arrogance, then that arrogance will be repeated. There should be equal rights for both sexes”, Pinarayi Vijayan said.
The CM also questioned the criticism that the govt showed urgency in implementing the SC verdict. “Wouldn’t it be contempt of court if the women were stopped from entering the shrine?,” CM asked.
Admitting that the party faced a setback in the just concluded elections, CM said that the opposition managed to mislead the allies of the front which will be only temporary.
