VS visits Berlin, has a glass of tender coconut water

Kannur: Veteran leader V S Achuthanandhan, crossing party diktat, visited ousted veteran communist leader Berlin Kunhananthan Nair's house here on Friday. As he was banned from the party, VS told mediapersons that he would not lunch with Berlin. VS had a glass of tender coconut water from his house and said that there is no ban on that.


VS was in Kannur to attend various functions and Berlin had invited VS to his house for lunch. And VS accepted his request. But later Kannur district commitee had expressed its unhappiness over VS decision to have lunch.

VS decision was duly intimated to the state commitee. VS men too had intimated to Berlin the cancellation of VS programme to visit his house. Unmindful of this VS paid a visit to Berlin's house on Friday.

Even last year VS paid a visit to Berlin when he was in the hospital. The CPM had flayed VS for visiting Berlin.
