Sunday, July 31, 2011: ADGP Venugopal K. Nair today informed that the VVIP treatment provided to notorious gangster Om Prakash during his visit to Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, was a serious security lapse.
Venugopal informed that the temple security staff had made arrangements for the gangster to enter the temple evading the police through ‘south nada’ and must be held responsible for this security lapse.
In the view of this incident, ADGP has given necessary instructions to tighten the security at the temple. Identification cards will also be made mandatory for the security staff.
