Monday, July 25, 2011: The Left Democratic Front (LDF) today lashed out at Kerala Assembly Speaker, G. Karthikeyan’s stand on the enactment of the finance appropriation bill.Leader of opposition, VS Achuthanandan today opined Speaker’s stand was undemocratic. Achuthanandan was speaking after inaugurating an agitation launched here by LDF district committee alleging imbalances in the budget.
The opposition had earlier alleged that the finance bill was passed in the Assembly without majority and also that one of the ruling party members had cast his vote twice when the ‘vote on account’ was called for passing the bill.
