Monday, July 25, 2011: LDF convener Vaikom Viswan today opined that the state government must take necessary steps to resolve the issues relating to the pay revision of Govt doctors who have threatened to go on indefinite strike on

Speaking to the reporters at a press meet held here on Monday, Viswan added that there was no point in holding discussions citing the recent outbreak of several contagious diseases in the state.
The KGMOA have threatened to go on indefinite strike raising various demands mainly to merge special allowance with basic salary, to increase the allowances of specialist doctors.
The government was not taking any steps to protect the public from the anti-people policies of the Central government.
