Friday, July 29, 2011: Soorya Krishnamoorthy has been appointed as the new chairman of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. K.A Francis will be the chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi and Mohammed Ahamed will be the chairman of Folklore Akademi.M.G. Sasibhushan- (Vyloppilli Cultural Centre), M.G.S Narayanan- (Tripunithura Centre for Heritage studies). Balachandran Vadakkedam has been appointed as the vice chairman of Sahitya Akademi.
