Friday, August 12, 2011: Labour Minister Shibu Baby John on Friday said that the inauguration of building cess adalat organized as part of 100 day action plan of the government would be held on August 13 at Kollam UP School. In the adalat, which would be held for a month, the building owners can utilize the opportunity to be exempted from any fines. The Minister said that the government is trying to collect Rs 100 crore from the adalat and cess has been imposed on buildings costing more than Rs 10 lakh for construction. A certain percentage of cost would be levied as cess.
