Tuesday, August 30, 2011: Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan today said that he had not recommended the name of Desmond Netto to the post of vigilance director. “I had stated that the next government can take a decision on his appointment,” VS said.
Desmond Netto is trying to mislead the media on it. VS had alleged that the document leaked to the media was a bogus document created by Netto. He was appointed director as a reward for his undermining the investigation in the palmolein case.
