Sunday, August 28, o2011: The meeting held between the government and the Medical managements in cnnection with the admissions to MBBS course in self-financing medical colleges, has reached consensus on Saturday. The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has decided to increase the fees for 35 percent merit quota seats from Rs 4.5 lakhs to Rs 5.95 lakhs. However the managements had agreed to provide the reduced fees of Rs 1.38 lakh to 15 percent seats for the BPL students and students from low-income group.
