Thursday, August 25, 2011: Minister VS Sivakumar today informed that the state government had earmarked Rs 1.54 crore for the security of Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple after huge treasures worth one lakh crore were recently recovered stored in temple vaults. The amount had been allotted for buying surveillance cameras and other security devices which will be installed inside the temple. Speaking to the reporters here on Thursday, Minister added 233 police officers have been appointed as beefing up the security.
