KOCHI: The City Shadow Police have arrested a murder-accused for selling ganja in the city. Udayan, 34, Laksham House Colony, Koonamthai, an accused in around 11 cases, including ganja sale and murder, was arrested by the Shadow team. The police seized some packets of ganja from him.The police trapped him pretending as potential ganja buyers. When contacted over phone,Udayan asked them to come to Koonamthai. He was under surveillance of the Shadow Police for some time now. He used to change locations frequently after he came to know about the surveillance.The police said that he collected ganja from Adimali through some of his earlier accomplices in the jail.The drug peddler was arrested by a team led by Kalamassery SI Martin, Shadow SIs Mohammed Nisar and Suresh Babu. Husain, Manaf, Saji, Anoop, Naseer and policemen from Kalamassery police were part of the team.
"Information related to ganja sale can be passed on to the police at 0484-2385002," said Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar.
