Wednesday, August 31, 2011: A person who was remanded to the Ponkunnam Sub-Jail after being arrested for several criminal cases escaped from the jail here on Tuesday. The person has been identified as Rajesh, a native of Neyyattinkara, police told. Jail authorities believe him to have scaled the wall and escaped.
The police have launched a massive search to capture the escaped prisoner.
