Friday, August 5, 2011: Opposition Leader VS Achuthanandan on Friday said that he visited the house of expelled leader Berlin Kunjananthan Nair on humanitarian grounds. Talking to reporters here, he said there is nothing wrong in visiting persons relating to death, marriage and illness.
When asked about Lawrence’ statement criticising VS for visiting Berlin’s house, VS said, “I attended Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter’s wedding along with MM Lawrence and M V Raghavan, who led the firing incident in Koothuparambu claiming five lives. BJP leader CK Padmanabhan too attended the function along with me.”
