Minister refuses to comment on PC George’s complaint

Tuesday, September 13, 2011: Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan today refused to respond to chief whip P C George’s complaint against the judge P.K Haneefa who ordered for a further probe into palmolein case.
Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Minister said that he couldn’t openly divulge his stand since he was handling the Vigilance department portfolio.
In a letter send to President Pratibha Devisingh Patel, Governor and Supreme Court Chief Justice, George alleged that the Vigilance judge had ordered a probe into the case without following the usual procedures.

The judge was deliberately trying to make Chief Minister Oommen Chandy an accused in the case, the letter alleged. George’s action has apparently embarrassed the Congress leadership.
