‘Ministers should refrain from public functions during assembly sessions’
Tuesday, June 26, 2012: Kerala Assembly speaker G Karthikeyan on Tuesday issued a ruling that Ministers should refrain from attending public functions during assembly sessions.
Speaker also gave a direction that the government should not organize programmes during assembly sessions. Speaker said this following a complaint by V Sivan Kutty MLA.
Sivan Kutty said he was unable to attend programme organized by the government due to assembly sessions. Speaker also made a ruling that the assembly session, which begins at 8.30 am, disperses late due to late arrivals.
