50 arrested so far in Chandrasekharan murder case


 Tuesday, June 26, 2012: As many as 50 persons have been arrested so far in connection with the sensational murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader TP Chandrasekharan near Onchiyam on May 4.
Chandrasekharan (50), a former CPI-M leader from the party stronghold of Onchiyam in Kozhikode district, was murdered at Vallikkad near Vatakara on May 4. He was expelled a few years ago after falling out with the CPI-M leadership. He later floated Revolutionary Marxist Party.
PK Kunhanandan, mastermind in TP murder case had surrendered before Court on Saturday. Based on clues obtained from those already arrested, the special investigation team had been on the lookout for Kunhanandan, who allegedly master-minded the plot to eliminate Chandrasekharan, who had become an irritant for CPI-M after he floated a parallel left outfit called Revolutionary Marxist Party on quitting the party a few years back.
