Father held for molesting daughter

KANNUR: The Alakkode police arrested a man for allegedly molesting his 14-year-old daughter at Udhayagiri in Kannur. The arrested was identified as E V Sasidharan (41), a rubber-tapping worker, police said. According to police, Sasidharan was allegedly molesting his elder daughter, who was studying in 9th standard in Karthikapuram, Government high school, regularly. He also made two such attempts earlier when the mother and his other 11 year-old daughter were not in the house. The girl informed her mother and neighbours. This led to the arrest of the man under section 376 IPC. Police said Sasidharan would be produced before the Thaliparamba JFCM tomorrow.
