Got confidence after one year's performance: Chandy


KOTTAYAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy sunday claimed that he got great confidence from last one year's performance. At a meet the press programme here, the Chief Minister said his government was going ahead with the slogan 'development and care'.


He was getting support from all sections, including the Congress party, UDF, Government officials and the public.


The state was much behind as far as infrastructure development was concerned, he said, adding government had got a good start in the sector.


Even though all facilities were available in the health sector since it was much expensive and only affluent section could afford it, he said. Government's intention was to make the health sector accessible to all sections, he added.


"Keralites are peace lovers. Peaceful life has to be ensured by maintaining law and order and no compromise should be on that," he said. In reply to a question on the Nair Service Society (NSS)'s criticism on the performance of the education department and the Balakrishna Pilla - K B Ganesh Kumar conflict, he said all complaints would be examined.
