Ban on Govt doctors’ private practice will not be revoked: Minister
Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday ,June 27, 2012: Health Minister VS Sivakumar said that the govt is not going to recant the ban on doctors in govt colleges enter upon in private practice.
There are as many as 905 vacancies of doctors in Medical colleges and govt colleges in the state and the govt have to take instant action to fill these vacancies.
The Drugs Controller has given direction to take action against those drug companies which hike prices by 10 percent every year. The govt has asked the union govt to include 660 medicines under the price regulation list. The minister was replying to questions posed to him in the Assembly.
