Wednesday, January 04, 2012: A 23-year-old youth succumbed to injuries which he sustained during a road mishap that occurred near Shoranur here on Tuesday. The person identified as Gireesh was under treatment at a private hospital in Thrissur.After completing the hotel management course he was working as hotel staff at the Bahrain airport. Gireesh had come to attend his sister’s marriage. The accident occurred when a lorry collided with the bike in which he was traveling near Kunathara, police told.
Hearing the heartbreaking news Gireesh’s mother tried to commit suicide by jumping into a well, and she was rescued by the fire force personnel.
