KOTTAYAM: A four-year-old girl who got caught under a JCB, which overturned on her, died instantly on Saturday. The dead has been identified as Anjana, daughter of Rajesh from Kottayam Plakkottucheri. Her sister Anupa, who also went under the JCB, was rescued and she has been admitted to hospital with injuries.
The incident happened at Kosadi at around 4 in the evening. The two children were playing in front of the house, when the JCB which was rolling down a steep descent adjacent to their house, lost control and overturned on them. It took about an hour to take out the children from under the vehicle. Though they were soon rushed to the hospital, Anjana succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
