THRISSUR: Former BJP State president K Raman Pillai, who had left BJP following differences with its official leadership and formed a new party called Kerala Janapaksham, today announced the dissolution of his party.
He also announced his decision to return to the BJP. “Me and my associates are returning to the BJP without eyeing any post or positions,” he told media persons after the State Committee meeting.
He said in the meeting, Janapaksham office-bearers had taken a favourable stand to return to its mother organisation. Janapaksham had to be dissolved as it was an organisation registered with the Election Commission.
Raman Pillai who left the BJP in 2007 is returning to the party after 8 and ¾ years. The core committee meeting of the BJP held the other day had publically asked Raman Pillai and P P Mukundan to return to the party.
Meanwhile P P Mukundan is delaying his return. Since he was the State Organising Secretary, there will not be place for him in the core committee. Also, there isn’t any hint that he would get some other post. The above reasons are said to be delaying his re-entry.
