KOCHI: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said the employed youth in Kerala will no more have to go abroad in search of jobs. “With the realisation of the Smart City project, the whole world will come to Kerala, ”the chief minister said this while inaugurating the first phase of the Smart City in Kochi on Saturday.
“Kerala has opened its door to the world. It is Keralites’ dream that has come true today. For this, we all had to wait long 11 years. Though delayed, it is on track. Now we can’t wait like this for anything. Youths in Kerala are depending on other nations for job. Now they will not have to… We want them to remain here and use their expertise for the benefit of our country,” he said.
Chandy said “the project to be implemented in three phases will be a big achievement and new companies are expected to join the smart city directly”.
