KOCHI: Solar Commission has harshly criticised Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s confidant and KPCC general secretary Thampanoor Ravi for not appearing before the Commission in the second consecutive day.
Even Ravi was bold enough to move a month’s leave application through his advocate and this irked the Commission chairman Justice Shivarajan, who used harsh terms to criticise Ravi. The Commission said the leave application was not credible and ordered Ravi to appear before it during the day or the next day.
Earlier Ravi had informed the Commission via his advocate that he would not be able to attend the trial as his wife was not well. He also asked for a month’s leave from appearing before the Commission. But justice Shivarajan said the leave could not be granted and if he tried to bunk off, the Commission would explore other means to bring him before it.
