KOCHI: A Francis, seventh accused in the Lavalin case, filed a plea in the Kerala High Court against DGP T Asif Ali appearing for the government. Francis filed the plea at a time when the court is to consider the revision pleas of those including the CBI against CBI court’s order acquitting many including Pinarayi Vijayan in the case.
The court earlier ordered a CBI probe in the Lavalin case on the complaint of T Asif Ali. The governor later permitted to prosecute those including Pinarayi on the complaint of Asif Ali. After hiding these facts, DGP misused his post and filed a sub plea in the court to consider the revision plea earlier, Francis’ plea said.
