Monday, July 11, 2011: State Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan today informed that about 455.33 acres of encroached land have been reclaimed during the first day of eviction process in Munnar.Speaking to the reporters at a press meet held here on Monday, Minister added that the government will take necessary steps to speed-up the legal procedures against encroachers in the area.
The government will not allow any sort of encroachments in Munnar, he added. The persons who oppose the eviction process will be booked under the Goonda act.
