Mr Pratapan while participating in the discussion on vote on account urged the government to follow the policy of no liquor while deciding on the allocation of bars also. He asked the government to refrain from providing license to new bars.
PC George wanted license to a three-star hotel in his constituency. Mr Pratapan appealed the minister to show the will to stand tall and not to relent to the pressures exerted by men like Mr Thomas.
