CPM begins probe against Kottamurickal

KOCHI: The CPM has started inquiry into the allegations levelled against former CPM  Ernakulam district secretary Gopi Kottamurickal, who was removed from the post on charges of misconduct.
The three-member committee comprising Vaikom Viswan, A K Balan and M C Josephine on Tuesday met various leaders of the district. It is learnt that the committee had collected evidence from district secretariat member K A Chackochan who is said to have levelled the charges against Kottamurickal. Chackochan has reportedly told the committee that he was not directly involved in filming of the visuals within the Lenin Centre and that it was only an office employee who had filmed the  episode. Chackochan is learnt to have submitted all the documents related to the complaint to the inquiry commission.

The inquiry commission would be collecting evidence from Gopi Kottamurickal tomorrow. It was the CPM state secretariat that constituted the three-member committee to look into the charges levelled against Gopi Kottamurickal.
