Thursday, August 25, 2011: A 66-year-old man, who is an accused in a case relating to the molestation of a minor girl, was apprehended by the police near Neeleswaram on Thursday. The accused identified as Mathew, was absconding since 2008 from Ponkunnam after the sexual exploitation of the 14-year-old came to light. According to the police the accused had lured the girl to his house where she was sexually exploited.
The accused was nabbed after the locals gave a tip off to the Ponkunnam police after seeing a picture of the accused.
