Kozhikode: The crime branch team probing the Marad massacre has asked BJP former state president Adv P S Sreedharan Pillai to surrender his passport. The Crime branch wanted to check details of his foreign trip. Crime branch superintendent CM Pradeep Kumar sent the notice asking to surrender the passport within a week. But crime branch said Sreedharan Pillai had asked for a month's time. The team also collected statements of present state president Muralidharan and former state president CK Padmanabhan. The team collected evidence as there were media reports of a conspiracy to sabotage the CBI probe on the massacre.
