Thursday, August 04, 2011: Private bus operators in the State have called off their indefinite strike plan announced on Saturday following discussions they had with Transport Minister VS Sivakumar here on Thursday.The bus owners had withdrawn their strike plan soon after the Minister had promised to resolve the issues before September 20th. The strike was called raising various demands like hiking the minimum bus fare to Rs 6 and also to increase the fare of students’ concession.
