KOCHI: BJP demanded the Congress led UDF Government to order a comprehensive probe into the disclosure of former CPI (M) Ernakulam District Secretary Gopi Kottakurikkal about the irregularities in releasing land at near airport and the appointment of staff at the Airport. Talking to reporters here, BJP Kerala General Secretary A N Radhakrishnan said the government should also probe into the allegation that former Chie Minister V S Achuthanandan had a role in scuttling the cyber city project in the state.
Alleging that a minister in the UDF government had a connection with land mafia and filling of land near the airport, he said this issue should also be probed. Regarding the record voting percentage of the BJP in the Neyyattinkara by poll, he said it proved the BJP's stand on the UDF government appeasing the Muslim league and that was why all sections of people voted for the BJP candidate. He claimed that this was just the beginning and the trend would continue in the coming elections in the state.
