KOZHIKODE: Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal has left the printer and publisher post of Chandrika, the mouth piece of Muslim League. P K K Bava will be the new publisher. The change is part of starting a new daily titled Samastha by the E K Sunni section. The new daily will be launched in November.
This is for the first time in the history of Kerala that a person not belonging to the Thangal family holding the publisher post of Chandrika.
Meantime, Thangal said that he had held the post temporarily. I’m still the managing director of Chandrika. I left the publisher post as I didn’t want to hold two posts at the same time.
