PALAKKAD: K Krishnan Kutty, senior vice president of Socialist Janata (Democratic) Friday resigned from the post. His resignation has been sent by fax to state president M P Veerendra Kumar. But he has not resigned his party membership.
He wants to be active in the agricultural sector and his disagreements with the union agricultural policies are the reasons cited for the resignation. Even though these reasons were cited, it is heard that for quite some time he was not in good terms with the state leadership.
Krishnan Kutty and the UDF were not in a good rapport over the Chittor seat during the last assembly polls.
