THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water supply will be disrupted for two days in the capital city following the pipe burst at Vazhayila petrol pump near Peroorkada. The main pipe carrying water from Aruvikkara to the Observatory Hills burst at Vazhayila at 7.15 am Wednesday morning.
The road and a portion of the petrol pump have been damaged due to the force of water. Even after two hours of the pipe burst, the flow of water has not been stopped. Transportation on this route has been disrupted and a big block is being witnessed in the area as traffic has been diverted. Students and office goers reached late to schools and offices. As part of laying a new pipe, transportation on this route was through one side for the past few days.
