3,000 more Malayalis to return from Saudi Arabia

NEW DELHI: About 3000 Malayalis will leave Saudi Arabia as the Saudi authorities have implemented the Nitaqat rule.

NORKA and Kerala Rural Development Minister K C Joseph said on Tuesday that he has informed the central government to provide air tickets at cheap rates to those Malayalis in Saudi Arabia.

The number of Indians who have no legal documents and who have registered at the Indian Embassy is 72,421. Of this, 5167 are Malayalis. Some of these Malayalis are expected to get jobs again. Therefore, only about 3000 Malayalis will leave Saudi Arabia.
