Ice-cream case: Girls join as clients in VS’ plea

KOCHI: Kozhikode ice-cream parlour case victims Rosilin and Bindu joined as clients in the plea filed by opposition leader V S Achuthanandan. They said they were threatened to retract their statements and are willing to reveal the truth in the court. The girls told the court that Minister P K Kunhalikutty paid Rs 4 lakhs to retract their statements.

The plea filed by VS alleging that the investigation in the case registered when he was the chief minister following the revelations of industrialist K A Rauf, co-brother of Kunhalikutty, had been at a standstill, is under the consideration of the government.
