THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan blamed the speaker for shielding Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the solar panel fraud case. He termed the speaker’s behavior as unfortunate. VS said this at the dharna staged soon after the assembly was adjourned for the day.
VS said, “Chandy is protecting Biju Radhakrishnan, the accused in his wife’s murder case. Millions have been swindled in the solar case. The chief minister also met Saritha S Nair, an accused in the case, in Delhi. What they conversed is not known. Saritha has something to attract others.”
VS said they would stage strong agitations in the coming days. Chandy should resign and face judicial probe. The silence of Union Minister A K Antony in the case is not correct. A person like Antony who has a clean image should make his stand clear in the case.
