In an interview to a news channel, N.K. Premachandran, the MP-elect from Kollam, said that he cannot understand the hatred and vengeance CPI (M) is showing towards him. “I just had a political relationship with CPI (M). Isn’t there a validity for this hatred?”, Premachandran asked.
He said that he had a good personal relationship with Pinarayi Vijayan and his vulgar remark against him was not something that’s welcome. “Those remarks proved useful for me politically as the people in Kerala hate such style”, Premachandran said.
“The CPI (M) leaders like Thomas Isaac portrayed me as a Sanghi and campaigned in churches and masjids. This backfired in Kollam. If I wanted to join BJP, I could have joined the Modi government last time as they would never say no to someone like me from Kerala”, Premachandran added.
Premachandran further added that those campaigns hurt him mentally.
