Thursday, September 08, 2011: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has conveyed his warm greetings to people on the joyous occasion of Onam being celebrated this week.
Chandy conveyed his heartiest greetings and good wishes to Malayalees living in the State and elsewhere. The festival has special significance in the heart of people of Kerala living all over the world.
“May this year’s Onam, the festival of harvest, bring peace, happiness and prosperity among people, CM said.
Kerala Governor M O H Farook, who was sworn in today, also greeted people on the occasion of Onam.
In a message, Farook said here that Onam reflects the grace and glory of a golden past and an ambience of plenty and equity.”It also evokes the hopes and aspirations of land and its people for a future of peace, progress and prosperity,”he said.
