Victoria Institutions, Deverkovil, Calicut has given an Writ Petition in the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala praying the Hon'ble High Court to stay the order making Malayalam a compulsory subject to learn. It is based on the understanding the Malayalam is a very feudal language that does discriminate between the citizens. And creates at least three levels of citizenship. The Hon'ble High Court has issued a notice to the respondents, the Chief Secretary to the Govt of Kerala and to the Principal Secretary, Education Department on the grounds that this order may be in violation of article 14 and 19 of the Constitutions of India.
