Police said the dead was identified as Mohammed Thayub (14), a ninth standard student of C H M High School, Mundayad in Kannur.
The accident occured when the boy pedalling his bicycle came under the wheels after he got entangled in a rope which fell from the bus. The bus was proceeding to the Karnataka capital.
