Cow slaughter creates tension in Perumbavoor

Wednesday, January 18, 2012: Tension prevailed in and around here as three persons illegally slaughtered a cow in front of a temple compound on Tuesday.
A police team led by DySP Harikrishnan rushed to the spot and took the three persons into custody. Muhammed (49), hi son Anus (23) and Razid (18) were those arrested.
Hundreds of people who thronged the temple premises turned violent and attacked the police vehicles, causing damage to glass panes of three vehicles. A strong contingent of police have been deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
