No need for Ganesh Kumar to resign, says CM
Saturday, January 14, 2012: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that there is no need for Ganesh Kumar to resign from Cabinet. Chandy said that he would hold talks with Kerala Congress (B) party chairman R Balakrishna Pillai regarding the issue.
Kerala Forest Minister KB Ganesh Kumar on Saturday came under attack from Kerala Congress (B) leadership following which he expressed his willingness to quit.
Ganesh drew criticism for allegedly taking decisions without the consent of the party. The criticism was raised by Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai during the party meeting held here today.
Ganesh acts on his own and cannot accept him as the party’s minister, Pillai said. He neither discusses anything with the party nor with the chairman.
