Pannyan's reply to Pinarayi

THRISSUR: The rift between the two leading parties—CPI (M) and CPI—in the LDF coalition became all the more obvious on Saturday when CPI (M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan indirectly criticized CPI for not being supportive, and CPI State Secretary Pannyan Raveendran came with a reply stating that CPI is a party with a character.

Pannyan said that no party has the right to order its allies to act according to their stance. He said he would give a reply if any leader directly criticizes CPI.

When asked about M.M. Mani’s criticism on him, Pannyan said he would not give a reply now. He even said he cannot reply every time Mani (literal meaning ‘Bell’) tolls.

“I give reply to those who are in responsible positions”, Pannyan said.

Mani had taken a dig at CPI state secretary Pannyan Raveendran, saying the left ally had acted like a betrayer in time of the CPI (M)'s distress.
