Technopark-TBI has launched its latest initiative - Technopark Software Testing Lab and Certification Centre (TSECC), billed as the world’s first ‘Product Testing and Certification Centre.’ The initiative is a joint venture with SE Mentor Solutions (P) Ltd set up at Park Centre, Technopark, supported with funding from the Union Department of Science and Technology (DST).The Centre was inaugurated by Dr K C Chandrasekharan Nair, Managing Director, T-TBI. Bobby Varghese and Nandakumar, Directors of SE Mentor; Binu Sanker, CEO, G-Tech; and Anoop Ambika, secretary, G-Tech and other dignitaries were present.
The Software Quality Certification Centre will work as an apex body with a strong technical arm for testing, to define the quality standards to issue the ratings to software projects and products based on different parameters. The Centre will also certify the products of software companies which will be a major marketing tool for the emerging companies. The new centre is equipped with all facilities to test software products, projects, packages and issue certification on various parameters like usability, reliability, performance etc.
The centre will also have high-end servers which will focus on performance /load /volume testing. The facility will offer a state-of-the art ‘Software Testing Lab’ to start-up ventures and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in their early stages.
“This centre will be a major boost to companies, especially start-ups, planning to come up with their own software products in the market. Currently, there is no such facility in the world for testing a software product. The centre at Technopark is a great leap for the incubation activities in Kerala,” said K G Girish Babu, CEO, Technopark.
“TSECC Software Quality Certification Centre offers an integrated suite of products and services that provide a complete solution”, said Chandrasekharan Nair.
