Aluva: Two persons on bike robbed 25 kg gold worth Rs 6 crore while transporting it to a refinery plant in Aluva on Thursday midnight. The gold was being taken to CRG Metalers at Edayar in Aluva.
The robbers attacked the car in front of the refinery. They broke the windows panes of the car and stole the gold.
Police have begun investigation into the case. In the primary investigation, it is learnt that those who had knowledge about the transportation of gold were involved in the crime. Superintendent of Police has sought report about the incident.
Police are also probing whether people who had done similar kind of robbery were involved. Earlier, similar incidents were reported in various places in the state. Those convicted in such cases are also under scrutiny.
